It was when work as a wedding photographer got really busy around the 2018-19 season that I was inspired to make room. In May 2019 I signed up for the Instagram page, drew up some logo options, but pretty much left it at that.
This photo was from the first film roll that I had developed myself.
Since then, Make Room had always been in the back of my mind, and there were things along the way that reminded me to really get this thing started.
When COVID-19 hit, and lockdowns were in place, it forced me to make room for things I’ve always wanted to do. I wanted time to rest, I wanted to work on my relationship with God, I wanted to get better at what I do, and I wanted to learn new things.
They say that “done is better than perfect”, and in that sense, I’m so glad I finally got Make Room off the ground after such a long time just thinking about it.
I will talk more about what I’ve been up to, and how everything started to fall in place. It would be an honour to have you follow me on this journey, and hopefully you’d get something out of it too.
